Strategic Account Director

This is an exciting opportunity to join an agency that is adapting an evolved business model to take advantage of the shifting marketing services market.

We are looking for an experienced professional who has the experience and ability to drive client marketing strategies across 3 core channels (Social, Search & Web). You will be responsible for working with small, medium and large enterprise, developing pragmatic and progressive integrated activity covering the customer journey points and funnel stages (Reach, Engagement, Experience, Acquisition and Retention).

You will be knowledged across the marketing mix, understanding the value and execution of good brand and performance marketing, with the ability to create multi-layered activity where required.

The Role

  • Lead and direct the management of client accounts and projects, supported by the project and account managers, taking full ownership of and accountability for the relevant client relationships.

  • Act as a visible and involved senior, key point of client contact; fronting client meetings, providing relevant consultation, and ensuring clients’ requirements are understood, met and exceeded

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term and profitable client relationships, specifically with key client decision-makers – consistently adding value to their business through considered and informed consultancy

  • Overseeing and directing client accounts and providing strategic input as necessary, to ensure that the highest standards of client service, communication and professionalism are always practised and maintained

  • Drive and deliver profitability by meeting targets, providing accurate costs, working to agreed budgets and delivering against financial forecasts; and reporting to the Managing Director

  • Develop and deliver strategy, planning and costs/budgets for campaigns working alongside specialists within the agency

  • Play a lead role in the development and delivery of business growth solutions for your clients, working closely with the agency specialists and providing valuable consultancy to the client

  • Maximise client revenue and profitability by consistently and actively identifying, pursuing and developing commercial opportunities to grow client business – initiate and drive business development opportunities by pitching ideas to the client and working with your team to realise these opportunities

  • Input into new business proposals for speculative projects/clients as required, ensuring that costs and schedules reflect the brief/requirements and that Account Management is considered appropriately
